UPDATE | Zeer grote boerderijbrand in Gasselternijveenschemond (video)
Herman © Van Oost Media Dikke zwarte rookpluimen stijgen op uit de grote woonboerderij aan de Dideldomweg in Gasselternijveenschemond. De brandweer is ter plaatse om de uitslaande brand te bestrijden, maar de woning kan als verloren worden beschouwd.
Gezin ongedeerd
Volgens buurtbewoners woont een gezin met twee kinderen in de boerderij. Zij waren thuis toen de brand uitbrak en wisten ongedeerd uit de woning te komen. Het gezin is volgens een buurvrouw die appte met de eigenaresse van de woning erg geschrokken. Maar ze zijn vooral blij dat ze ongeschonden naar buiten konden komen. De kinderen worden opgevangen bij hun oma.
De brandweerwoordvoerder ter plaatse zegt dat een persoon rook inademde en met de ambulance naar het ziekenhuis is gebracht.
Schoortsteenbrand
De brand werd rond kwart over 5 ’s middags gemeld als een schoorsteenbrand. Enkele minuten later stond het hele dak in de brand. ,,Toen de melding kwam, waren er personen aanwezig en stond het dak al in brand. Het is vervolgens heel snel gegaan”, aldus de brandweerwoordvoerder.
Brandweerploegen uit Stadskanaal, Veendam, Vlagtwedde, Gieten, Zuidlaren, Annen, (Hoogeveen, Havelte verzorging)
,Borger, 2e Exloermond en Vries zijn druk bezig om het vuur te blussen.
